Cooking Instructions

1. Sauté a bit of sliced shallots, garlic, and cinnamon/star anise in a pot with oil until fragrant (optional).

2. Add water or meat/chicken broth along with one packet of Rempah Soto & Sup Syukur.

3. Add your choice of chicken or meat, bring to a boil, and simmer on medium heat until the meat is tender and the flavors are fully infused.

4. Season with salt to taste and garnish with freshly chopped spring onions, Chinese celery, and fried shallots.

5. For Soto: Serve hot over compressed rice cakes (nasi impit), vermicelli (bihun), shredded chicken, and bean sprouts, topped with a dash of sambal kicap.
