About OMalaysia UK
OMalaysia UK started as a simple vision to share Malaysian food and culture in the UK.
Our Malaysian founder, Simon, missed the tastes of home and wanted to introduce the culinary delights of his favourite Malaysian dishes to his UK family and friends but just couldn’t find the right products.
As Simon connected with Malaysian suppliers, he discovered an increasing demand for Malaysian and Halal goods and, by 2016, he had created a flourishing online marketplace for Malaysian vendors to distribute their merchandise in the UK. He also formed an alliance with the Malaysian government to support distribution between the two countries.
Staying true to his vision to share Malaysian cuisine and culture with the UK, Simon re-branded Halal Street to OMalaysia in 2020, also bringing his daughter Simone on board, strengthening the family-run business.
Since then, OMalaysia has continued to grow, introducing more products and services, including our first UK-based warehouse and Supper Club, which gives people the opportunity to try traditional and authentic Malaysian meals from the comfort of their home in a social setting.
We want to continue to share Malaysia with the UK and beyond and we invite you to share Malaysia via OMalaysia across the globe.
