Samza’s Spicy & Sour Paste (Asam Pedas)

Let’s make a hearty and tasty comfort noodle soup
Ingredients:
- 1 Packet Instant Noodle Or Vermicelli (Your Choice and no necessity to use the seasoning it comes with)
- 1 To 2 Tablespoons Of Samza’s Spicy & Sour Paste (Asam Pedas)
- 4 To 5 Prawns (Cleaned And Deveined)
- Beans Sprouts (Wash And Blanch In Hot Water For A Minute Or 2)
- 1/2 Carrot (Cut Into Thin Strips)
- Tofu (Cut Into Cubes)
- Water
- Oil
Method:
Step 1
Pour some oil in a frying pan and pan-fry the prawns and tofu. Remember to sear on both sides. Place them aside for later use. You don’t need much oil as you are pan-frying and not deep frying.
Step 2
Cook the instant noodle according to the instructions on the packet. Drain and leave it aside,
Step 3
In the same pan you pan-fried the prawns and tofu, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of Samza’s Spicy & Sour Paste (Asam Pedas). You can add more or less to suit your preference. Give a good mix and throw in the prawns, tofu and carrots. Give a minute or 2 to simmer.
Step 4
Add some water and stir well. The amount of water depends on how soupy you want this dish. Another minute will do and you can turn off the flames. Now place the pre-cooked noodles in a bowl and ladle this yummy soup with prawns, tofu and carrots over it. Garnish with bean sprouts and cilantro. You have a comforting noodle soup to warm your soul. Enjoy!
