Let’s make tasty fritters using Organic Brown Sugar

Ingredients:

  • ½ to 1 organic brown sugar (Use a hand grater and grate the brown sugar finely. Leave it aside in a bowl)
  • ½ kg of all purpose flour (Sift flour to get rid of lumps. Leave it aside)
  • 200 ml water (Pour water sparingly into mixture until batter forms)
  • Oil for frying
  • Chocolate sauce and chopped nuts (optional)

Method:

  1. Place the sifted flour in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the grated organic brown sugar to the flour and mix well.
  3. Add water bit by bit and mix well. Do not make the batter too diluted or too thick. The right consistency is needed for pouring in oil in needed.
  4. Pour the oil in a wok and heat it up. When the oil is of right temperature to fry, drop a small batter to test.
  5. When the test batter fries easily, you can start frying the batter.
  6. Pour spoonful of the batter in the oil. Start in the middle and work your way around.
  7. Fry the fritters well on both sides until brown. They would have stuck together to form an odd shape.
  8. In the midst of frying, you can slowly break up the fritters from that odd shape.
  9. When golden brown, the fritters can be removed from oil and drained.
  10. Serve while it is still hot. You can drizzle some chocolate sauce and garnish with some chopped nuts to make it more appetizing. Enjoy!
