‘SAMBEY BERANAK’ Multi-purpose Paste

How About Making Asian Style Stir-Fried Penne Pasta With ‘SAMBEY BERANAK’ Multi-Purpose Paste?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup penne pasta (Cook it Al Dante as according to the instructions on the pack. Save some of the water for use later)
- 1 onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup minced beef (cleaned and washed. Pat dry to avoid oil splattering)
- 1 cup baby spinach (washed and pat dry)
- 2 tomatoes (cut into big chunks)
- Salt (optional)
- Oil for cooking
- ‘SAMBEY BERANAK’ Multi-purpose Paste (the amount to use is up to your preference)
- Coriander leaves or spring onion for garnish
Method:
- In a pan pour some oil. Pan-fry the minced beef till well done. Do not cook for too long as the minced beef would become tough. Leave it aside to cool on a paper towel.
- In the same pan that the minced beef was seared, add in the sliced onions. Saute for a minute or 2. Then add in the ‘SAMBEY BERANAK’ Multi-purpose Paste and give a good stir. The amount of paste to use depends on your preference. Do a taste test and adjust accordingly with the paste and salt.
- Add in the minced beef and give a good toss. Ensure that the minced beef is coated with this yummy sauce. If the sauce is thick, add some of the pasta water that you had saved earlier to thin the sauce.
- Add in the penne pasta and mix well with the sauce mixture. Throw in the baby spinach and give a minute or 2 for it to wilt. Finally add the tomato chunks and give a good but gentle toss and mix.
- The dish is ready to be served now. Plate it up and garnish with coriander leaves or spring onion. Serve it while its still hot. Enjoy this wholesome meal which has carbohydrate, protein and vegetables!
