Keropok is a traditional Malay fish cracker snack originating from the state of Terengganu, in West Malaysia. It is made from fish and sago flour and seasoned with salt and sugar. It is slightly greyish in colour. It is usually made by grinding fish into a paste, mixing it with sago, forming its shape and sun drying it. Then it is neatly packed and sold. All that is left to do is deep fry it in hot oil and you have a tasty fish cracker snack. The snack is eaten with special homemade chili blends or plain old chilli sauce.
