Saba banana or ‘pisang abu’ known to locals, is commonly found and popular among street vendors in Malaysia. Commonly made into banana fritters, crisps and dessert. The banana is short, thick skinned angled and has a pale white soft flesh when ripe.
Horn plantain is also known to locals in Malaysia as ‘pisang tanduk’. It is long, slightly curved like a rhinoceros horn. The skin is slightly thick and yellow when ripened.
