Sambal is a Malaysian chilli sauce or paste typically made from a mixture of a variety of chili peppers with secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, garlic, ginger, shallot, scallion, palm sugar, and lime juice. Sambal is used as an all-purpose condiment. It may be added to noodle dishes, soups, stews, meat, rice, and even eggs. Sambal can also be used to add heat and flavour to marinades, dips, sauces, and spreads. To make a spicy spread for sandwiches or burgers, mix sambal with ketchup or mayonnaise and your sandwich is ready to be devoured.

To bring you this Malaysian flavour right to your doorstep, Ichinta dot com has whipped up an array of sambal(sauces) to suit every ones  palate. These sauces can be eaten on its own or alleviated to the next level by infusing it with meat, seafood and vegetables.

My first and my last order. A bit too salty to my liking. If you eat the sambal petai just like that with white rice it’s not that great, but if you use it as nasi goreng paste then it’s better. The petai is so thinly sliced.
