Faih Cooking Paste (Pes Ibu Sambal)

Letās make tofu in spicy sauce using Faih Cooking Paste
Ingredients:
- 1 to 2 firm tofu (Clean and cut into cubes. Leave it on a paper towel to dry)
- 1 onion (Peel, wash and slice it thinly)
- 5 tablespoons of Faih Cooking Paste (You might need more)
- Oil
- Sugar and salt (Optional)
- Cilantro for garnish
- Water (optional)
Method:
- Pour some oil in a pan or wok and pan-fry the cubed tofu. Ensure that both sides of the tofu are cooked well. Remove and leave it on a paper towel.
- In the same pan the tofu were seared, throw in the onions and saute for a minute. Let the onions soften.
- Add Faih Cooking Paste to the onions and give a good mix.
- Add the seared tofu to this sauce and mix well too. Ensure that every tofu cube is coated with this yummy sauce.
- After a minute, do a taste test to see if it suits your palate. Adjust accordingly with salt, sugar and Faih Cooking Paste. There is no necessity to cook for long as all are pre-cooked ingredients.
- Remove from heat and plate it up. Garnish with cilantro and serve it hot. Enjoy!
Note : If you want the dish to be a little saucy add some water in step no 3 during cooking.
