Sahana Snack is a brand derived from Marukku and Nut Recipes passed down across 4 generations of a family spanning almost 100 years. Originating from Ettayapuram in Tamil Nadu, India to Gunung Cheroh and Buntong in Ipoh, these snacks have evolved into a Malaysian delicacy today.
As the people in the famous Kampung Kacang putih introduced these savoury snacks to Malaysians in 1923. S.R Ipoh boasts of an unparalleled heritage. It all began with Chinnasami Nadar, the pioneer of Kacang putih pedding on foot – from walking and carrying the assortment of snacks on a wooden tray on the head, eventually progressing to bicycle, motorcycle, and finally van.
Today S.R Ipoh has grown into an ISO Certificated Company owning 2 retail shops and a GMP-compliant factory with Halal and HACCP Certifications.
